BIOGRAPHY
Born in 1994 in Deerfield Beach, Florida, Allison is best known for her colorful and surrealist oil paintings. Her paintings often depict various distortions of the human body juxtaposed with industrial materials and organic forms. She draws inspiration from the urban landscape, botany, and anatomy. Peitsch seems to marry both the natural and un-natural in a distinctive manner—focusing on mankind’s relationship with modernity, invention and the natural world. She graduated from the RISD Continuing Education program in 2024 with a degree in Painting Studies.
ARTIST STATEMENT
In my work I feel compelled to explore the relationship between industrialism, nature and our own bodies. I am fascinated by the way in which we live in this forced cohesiveness. My paintings are often contrasting the stark difference between the natural world and the manufactured. In this I find a beautiful codependence, innovation and adaptability of man and nature.
